The Green Line Alignment Laser emits a very visible straight line. Green lasers are more complicated than red lasers. The green laser pointer beam is generated using an indirect process that begins with a high-power infrared AlGaAs laser diode operating at 808 nm. The 808 nm light energizes a crystal with neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum vanadate.
